General Meeting

The Royal Decree of 25 January 1844, founding the Banco de Isabel II, entrusted governance of the Bank to the General Meeting, which in turn appointed a Management Body. General Meetings were held every six months, with extraordinary meetings being held whenever agreed by the Management Body. At the Annual General Meeting it examined and approved the business conducted and the expense account.
