Banco de España
The Law of 28 January 1856 renamed the new Banco Español de San Fernando as the Banco de España, granting the State the power to appoint the Governor and Deputy Governors.
This collection includes records of the Bank from its creation up to the 1980s, notably the minutes and resolutions of the Bank and its branch offices, its constituent documents and the lists of shareholders with the right to attend the Bank's General Meetings.
Archival documents relating to the Banco de España can be accessed within the Historical Archive collection at Banco de España (1856-)
