1. What is the Institutional Repository?

The Institutional Repository of the Banco de España collects the publications published by the Banco de España and the digitised works from the Library's collection, with the aim of favouring their long-term preservation and dissemination. Its aim is to compile, preserve and disseminate the documentation containing the Banco de España’s economic analysis and research activities, its institutional activity and the digitised bibliographic heritage.

The text, logo, photographs and graphics included and disseminated on this website, as well as their form of presentation, are owned exclusively by the Banco de España, which possesses all rights in relation to their use, directly or by agreement with third parties.

2.1.2. Metadata and data:

Metadata (i.e. the information describing the contents of the Institutional Repository of the Banco de España) may be accessed by any person at no cost. Metadata must not be reused for commercial purposes without permission from the Banco de España. In the case of non-profit use, the source of the data and its ownership by the Banco de España must be acknowledged.

Metadata are subject to a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike (BY-NC-SA) license. Under this license, an original work and any possible derivative works may not be used commercially, and the distribution of the latter requires licensing under the same terms as the original work.

Data are understood to be the contents of the publications housed in this Repository. There is a statement in the metadata on the conditions of permitted use for each of these publications. In general, only the following two conditions apply:

  • For publications owned by the Banco de España, reproduction for educational or non-profit purposes is permitted, provided that the source is cited. The names of the authors, titles and other bibliographic details, as well as the permanent link included in the metadata for each work, should be provided.
  • For digitised publications not published by the Banco de España, which form part of the public domain, any type of use is permitted without limitation.

Users undertake to abide by the terms and conditions set out above for the use of this website and its services, the Banco de España reserving the right to bring any kind of legal action for any remedy available to it in the event of breach of such terms and conditions.

The information on this website is provided for information purposes only. The Banco de España reserves the right to suspend publication, completely or partially, to modify the structure and content of the site without prior notice. The Banco de España aims to ensure the information is accurate and up to date and to avoid, or minimise the consequences of, any technical errors. However, it does not guarantee that this service will not be interrupted or affected by such errors.
